Gingerbread Wishes and Candy Cane Kisses | Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge

Happy Thursday!  I had so much fun inking up some Jaded Blossom for this month's Caffeinated Christmas Card challenge.  The set is called Hot Cocoa & Marshmallows and the theme for the challenge is… STARS!!

I die cut my widest tag for this guy.  I masked off the stamp in sections so I could stamp in 4 different colored inks.  I'm sure there's a brilliant way to do this, but I just used some smaller post it notes. Using the MISTI was essential here to get everything to line up.  I did not ink up the gingerbread mug on the sentiment stamp, instead I inked up the separate mug from the set (it's the same mug, same size, etc.) so I could pop it up on the tag.  I also stamped out a few extra Candy Canes.

Time to color!  I colored up the "kisses" in a kind of hombre look with some "chocolate" copics, then colored up my Gingie Man and the candy canes! Now let's cut…I carefully cut out the candy canes & mug and die cut some stars from some glitter paper.  All of the cut out elements are popped up with foam tape, as is also the tag. I raided my stash of Christmas ribbons for the top, then adhered the whole she-bang to my patterned paper card base.  Voila! Thanks for popping by, hope to see you here again soon!
