My Time Made Easy July Group Post: Birthday Bash!

Mmmmmmm, Chocolate Cheesecake!!  I made up this little plate for a neighbor boy who's birthday is tomorrow.  My template is the BRAND NEW Cuppy Cake template, obviously it can be an adorable cupcake that you can dress up like crazy, but it's so complex it can really be turned in to so many more things (a basket, a flower pot, an ice cream sundae... to name a few).  I filled it with Kisses and a gift card (forgot to photo before giving it away, lol).

Of course I had to make him a little card too (for the family to sign and write notes).  The papers on the card are from the new paper pack Blue Birthday, and the polka dots on the cupcake are from Darling Dots Collection 2.  This was such a quick gift to throw together!  Be sure to check out the rest of the team to see what treats they have for you!

MFT WSC & Stamp group

I finally got a chance to go to stamp group this month!  I had such a great time :)  This is the card I brought to share (we do like a shoebox swap type thing).  I started off with this weeks' MFT sketch, then took MANY creative liberties with it and ended up with this pink cutie!  I LOVE playing along with the Ribbon Carousel challenges and this week their challenge was "Paper Piecing", UM hello, only one of my favorite things to do! lol  so clearly, I was in!!  I dusted the tree leaves with some Sage FlowerSoft... I just love the look!!  That's about it for me for now!  See ya back here tomorrow with another peek from My Time Made Easy's July release!

My Time Made Easy July Release peek day #1, Safe travels, my lil' cupcake!

Happy Friday!  Woo hoo!  What better way to start off the weekend than with some sweets & papercrafting... two of my favoritest things :).  Today I am showing off the BRAND NEW! Lil' Cupcake template (which will be in the My Time Made Easy store on the 1st!).  The other day my beautiful and wonderful darling daughter left on a trip and I hid this little yummy in her bag.  I stuffed with some goodies for the plane trip...

All of these yummies easily fit inside (4 drink packets, tic-tacs, Burt Bees Lips, Prepaid Visa, Sunflower seeds).  This Lil' Cupcake is the perfect size, small enough to hide a in someone's bag or luggage but big enough to fit a good amount of goodies!  Here's the side view.  Because of the way the top latches closed it holds very well and the goodies are held inside perfectly!  I used the new Blushing Birthday paper pack for the "cupcake wrapper", and both sentiments on my tags come from The Sugarsnap's stamp set.  I am totally in love with this little giftie :)

Today is the final day of the MFP hop, didn't I tell ya? The sets are awesome this month!!  Today I have 2 cards to share.  For the first card I grabbed the sentiment from the Island Life set (we showed this off yesterday).  The shell is from the Silly Shells set, I colored it with copics and then cut it out before adding it to the sentiment panel.  I LOVED coloring the shell!!  My sketch is this week's Sketch challenge over on SCS... such a great layout!

If you've already been to the Marks Finest Papers blog then you may have already seen this card.  This card was a little difficult to photograph because of the way I colored it.  Again, my sentiment comes from the Island Life set and the shell from Silly Shells.  I took some white card stock and stamped the shell trio image with some VersaMark ink then colored the shells in with my palest Copic markers... irl, the card looks really soft and the sentiment and the rhinestones at the bottom 'pop'.  If you look closely you can see my scalloped bottom on the kiwi cardstock.

Sew... What's new?  I just love all things sewing and even better is when they are "antique" looking!  I can see me using this I'm In Stitches set ALOT!!  Today I used the i Spy Sketches sketch for this card, the focal panel is perfect to show of some pretty, shiny silver scissors!  I actually colored mine with copics, but then decided I wanted them to shimmer some so I went over them again with my Sekura Stardust pen (LOVE that pen!!).  The paper is from Material Girl  by Cosmo Cricket, I actually have about 5 of these pads, LOVE it!!  Mark's Finest Papers also has these amazing sewing charms that goes perfectly!!

MTME Pretty Patterns sketch #64

Oh how I have missed my stamp room!  I have spent the last handful of days making jams and butters with some yummy summer fruits and watching some awesome hockey (Go Kings!) so my poor stamp room has been neglected.  Thank goodness for Thursdays and MTME Pretty Patterns sketches... this week we are doing a sketch review.  In other words, choose your favorite from sketches #34 - #40 and get inky! Head to this My Time blog post for deets on the sketch and for some sketch team inspiration!

For my sketch card I used the Fanciful Flourishes stamp set.

I added some rhinestones to the middles of the flowers and some Cinnamon Stickles to the frame.  Love the bright summery colors :)  Thanks for popping by, hope to see you again soon!   

 

My Time Made Easy June Release... A set of cards for the boys in your life!

Today I made a set of cards with one of your new stamp sets, Let's Go Camping with papers from the new Digi Paper packs S'more S'mores and Camp Out.  These images are great for anyone, but they are perfect for those sometimes hard to make "boy cards"!!  It just so happens that hubby is heading for another business trip in the morning and one of these will have found there way to a hiding spot in his suitcase :)  The fabulous sketch is from i Spy Sketches!  Be sure to check out my fellow DTers and enjoy the eye-candy!  Hope you are having a wonderful weekend, thanks for popping by! :)
