To get the pattern on the Butterfly, I inked up my stamp and then pressed it against a Piercing grid I have before stamping my paper... I think it gave it just the right "pop". Then I cut him out and attached him just down the middle so I could fold up his wings. I don't think you can see it too well, but I went over the pom-pom type flowers with a Clear Spica glitter pen. Someone created a cute alterable "thing-y" where she was going to keep track of her "New Year's Resolutions", except she chose to call them goals, and instead a few BIG goals, she gave herself weekly, monthly, etc. goals. I LOVED this idea (and if I can find her item and post, I'll link it here). Anyway, as I have been working on "getting myself together" and getting my "goals" thought out and on paper I decided a couple of things. 1. My stamp room REALLY needs some better organization (especially now that I've branched out and have way more than just Stampin' Up! stuff). The other things I've realized are boring and irrelevant, lol. So my Room needs an "overhaul"! In order to get this done in a timely manner (I am very task driven and want things done NOW!), I'm going to have to plan my time well. My scrapbooking goal for this year is going to be on hold until this room is done, and since someone else took my Challenge idea and ran with it for themselves, this shouldn't be a big deal :). So, I spent Saturday cleaning out and organizing my stamps (you can see some of the sets I have for sale here), now mind you I've already done a TON of work in the "sorting area" so I had a good head start.
Here is the front of some of those binders, I also listed the contents on the front.
In the inside of each binder I have the images on a sheet of cardstock along with the name. For companies like Gina K, I use the inserts that come with the sets and Taylored Expressions prints their images on the binder sheet itself. All of my Paper Makeup Stamps images are in a big binder, if you didn't see that one before you can see it all decorated here. I have a rather hard time finding Stamp Room organization ideas that will work well for me, which is why I haven't gotten my room done sooner. While "blurfing" the other day I came across Patter Cross' blog, which not only has some awesome idea's but she got me thinking and really helped me figure out the rest! She does an "Organizational" post on Fridays. My next task, is to organize my ribbons, thanks to Becca Fekken, for her awesome idea. As soon as it's done I'll show you what I did (and her idea). The PMS DT decided to have a 'bonding' type swap. We decided to do a Secret Santa, but with a Valentines theme, a Secret Admirer. Oh my goodness it was so much fun! Yesterday was the due day and today is the posting day. I have done swaps kinda like this with a group of SU Demo's, and some other groups I have been in, but when I got this package the other day... I kid you not when I tell you I was speechless!! This package was just amazing!
She made me 2 cards and there are 2 wrapped goodies.
The first wrapped goodie was this cute little tin of chocolates. Mmmmmm!!

Did you see these cute little "Bucket Handbags" on SCS? How's this for a Teen Valentine idea? When my daughter was in middle and high school she always wanted to give a handful of her girlfriends gifts for the various holidays. There were always too many for us to afford going out and buying an individual gift for so we always came up with some kind of goodie to make. One year for Christmas we got a bunch of cute mugs and filled it with some hot cocoa powder, marshmallows, etc. then we went out in the wee hours of the night and delivered them to their doorsteps for them to find in the morning. We had such a great time! Victoria has always loved getting all girlied-out, make-up done, manicures, etc. and she loved Nail Polish (she still does). So I made this little carrier to hold 2 bottles of OPI Nail Polish.

Have you seen the GORGEOUS digi images that Cathy at PGP has come up with? They are too fun!! Ok, back to this little morsle... I grabbed my Hearts Bloom paper kit (which is ON SALE NOW!) from Paper Garden Projects and took it with me this weekend so I could finish up some Valentine projects. Now keep in mind that I was horribly sick when I left town and had been getting sicker each day! I tried hard to grab everything I may need without talking the whole studio... You would not believe the things I forgot, ADHESIVE!!! SCISSORS!! Can you imagine?!?!? It's a good thing that I had this image already stamped because I realized that I also forgot to bring white cardstock (which is only topped by the fact that when I got home I realized that I also forgot the stamps!!!) Clearly I should NOT be allowed to pack when sick! lol So my box is held together with glue stick and the image is adhered with scotch tape rolled up, lol. Hey man, whatever works! My father-in-law was trying to convince me to use honey, hehehe! Silly boys! Tomorrow I'll have another Teen-girlie Valentine idea... Hope to see you tomorrow!

This week's Makeup 4 the Weekend Challenge hostess was Danni. Her orders... Pink and sparkly! So I dug out my favorite pink & gray paper, Juliette by SEI and this fun Moody for Love image from Paper Makeup Stamps. The sketch is, of course, from the rockin' Mercy Kerin, MTSC59. Cat Dubail has done it again! About this time last year, Cat designed my "created by" stamp (you can see it here). I am so in love with it, she did such an amazing job. Anyway, one year ago yesterday my friend Katie started her own stamp company, Paper Makeup Stamps. I am so proud of her and frequently impressed by her. So for PMS' first birthday, I wanted to get Katie a little birthday present... here's what Cat & I came up with...
No for some eye candy of the paper variety, lol! My Mom emailed me the other day in need of an emergency gift and she asked for a set of note cards for her friend. Here's what I came up with. This is the finished package (8 notecards & envelopes).
My mom also asked for a "reddish" theme. I didn't have any reddish pp that inspired me, so I got out my PTI stamps and found a flower that I thought would be fun. I punched out a small circle of pp for the flowers center. These are plain and simple, but I think she will like them.
