 Happy Wednesday!  I am so happy to be stamping something fun and NOT Christmas-y, lol.  Of course my go-to is ALWAYS Mercy's Tuesday sketches, they can always get me going!  Of course her Guest Muse this month is one of my fav inspirations, Jessie Rone.  Thanks Mercy for a great sketch.  I have loved these Basic Gray Wisteria papers, and finally just got them from Paper Garden.  Ok, sorry for the quick post, but it is way past my bedtime!!

Monogrammed Note Cards #2

 

  These are the note cards I made for my MIL.  The design for these is NOT one of my own either (I can't believe I CASE'd twice in a row, lol).  The design for these was inspired by Holly McMillan (thanks Holly).  I love the embossed swirly at the top... such a fun idea!

Monogrammed Note cards

 

My Mom loves sending homemade cards!  I got her addicted :), but I do a horrible job of keeping her well stocked with cards!  My brilliant idea?  I'll be sending her a boxed set of cards every month on or about the 25th starting with December.  Along with her cards I'll send her some homemade yummy too, for Christmas it was Buttermilk Syrup (yummy!).  These are the notecards I made her.  The centered picture is the whole boxed set w/Belly Band, the picture to the left is an actual notecard.  I love the design, simple but not!  Of course I did not come up with this beautiful layout, Becca Feeken did.  I REALLY have a hard time CASEing, but when  you are brain dead and you see such a gorgeous set, well...  Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Note pad gift

 I love being able to make things for my family at Christmas time.  My Mom goes through cards like they're water (lol, come back tomorrow to see the notecards I made for her), but my Gramma isn't so much in to cards, so I sometimes struggle with what to make for her.  One thing that my Gramma always has by her phone is a notepad, normally one of those freebies the realtors leave on your porch, so when I saw these notepads at PTI I thought that'd be the perfect thing to make for her!   Sorry for the horrible picture, but here is the inside... 

 There is a pocket on the left side and a white notepad on the left.  I took a rub-on that says "I Love You" on the pocket.

Finally... some MUCH needed stamp time!

It seems like it has been so long since I've stamped, I knew that I wanted to stamp (that I needed to stamp), but had no clue WHAT to stamp!  Mercy's Tuesday sketch to the rescue!  And thank goodness I had gotten my goodies from Cathy (at Paper Garden) otherwise I'm not sure I could have even picked out some paper, lol!  Well ,when you mix an awesome sketch with a super fun stamp set & papers you get this...

 

This was super fun and oh soooo much needed!!!!  Mercy has the best sketches, and it was so nice to just stamp for the fun of it tonight!  If I don't get to bed soon I'm gonna turn in to a pumpkin, so here's the recipe... nighty night!  Hope you had a wonderful weekend!!

Flakey Friends Gift Card holder

  

 
Sigh, another couple of days of being MIA.  It always just stuns me how many kid, house, etc. things there I have each day after work, and how few hubby has... I just don't get it.  Oh well, I digress!  This is the week my stamp group comes over.  We each bring a shoebox card for everyone to make (around a theme) and then I always have a project for us to do.  This month's theme is "Snowflakes" and my projects for tonight are Giftcard holders (this is also the challenge over at crazy 4 challenges).  Jessica Diedrich-The Whimsical Butterfly, had made one and I loved her template because it was so quick and simple (the card holder was simple, her artwork was gorgeous!).  I took her template and altered it a teeny bit (I cut off the flap from the left side), and voila!  Seriously making the card holder was quicker that decorating the front!!  I am making a 2nd cardholder (using Carolyn King's template from Gina K), so come back tomorrow for that.  For the front, I stamped the snowmen on shimmer paper, colored them, cut them out and then popped them up (the shorter dude is a little more "popped" than the other).  I used my Sakura Black Glaze penfor his "coal" eyes and buttons.  Thanks so much for popping in, hope to see you again soon :)
