Blogger's Challenge #92... Diecuts or templates

Happy Friday!  Whew, what a week!!!  This week's Bloggers Challenge was to use diecuts or templates, well I have been wanting to use glitter on that flower embosslit ever since I got it!  I just got the Heat & Stick so I could play...great timing, huh?  Ok, I learned today that Die Cuts are way outside my comfort zone!  I really wanted to make these flowers the focal point, but I can't tell ya how many times I wanted to reach for a stamp just cause.  I like the card much more IRL, infact, yup I kinda like it!  I am sooo tired tonight, so I'm sorry, but you will have to come back tomorrow to see my PMS Sneak Peek of Jack.  Hope to see you then, have a fabtastic weekend!

It's PMS Sneak Peek Week!

Well, first I have to apologize...I think this card is "missing something", but I really wanted to get this peek up, so I may replace this picture later :)  This is Jashen, isn't he sweet?!?  I had some fun coloring him...I used Shimmerz Blingz on the cloud (wow, there is alot of metallic glitter in there!!!!), and Shimmerz on the wings and Spica glitter pen on the stars!  I also "outlined" kinda the clouds and wings to give them a little depth.  I didn't have any ink in the exact blue I wanted for the sentiment so I used my Copics to color the stamp before stamping it on white cardstock.  I used a Copic Multiliner on the stitches on his hat "buttons" and on the patch stitching on his jammie shirt!  Wish I could sleep that soundly!  Come back and visit tomorrow for another sneak peek...  In the mean time, nighty-night!

PMSMPC02 - Color Challenge...

 Here is my card for challenge #2, a color challenge using Orange, Green and White.  This darling little girl was a one day only Digi-image special.  She will be available for purchase as a regular stamp in the PMS April release (April 7th).  I sized her down so I could get the whole image on the card.  I also made the brads myself with a littl VersaMark, Heat & Stick and SU Orange glitter.  I didn't think I was going to be able to do this challenge because I didn't think I had anything orange...I rather like the way she turned out!  Thanks Christi for an awesome color challenge!

PMSMPC01 Challenge - 3d

Bloggers Challenge #91, Think Spring

This week's Blogger's Challenge was to "Think Spring"!  A cute lil' duck and some flowers...it doesn't get much springier (yes, huh, that is too a word) than that!  I have never "colored" a white image, I realize my attempt leaves "alot to be desired"...but I tried!  I am certainly going to have to practice that some more!  Those leaves and flowers on the white are rub-ons...yummy huh?  Yup, the background is airbrushed (haven't played with that tool in awhile!).  This is just a basic layout, my focus was more on playing with shading, etc.  I rather like this card, it's going to my friend Lisa...keep your chin up Lisa!

Welcome to Paper Makeup Stamps' very first ever Blog Hop! This is a clear card made with a transparency, though it is kinda hard to tell in this photo (look below and you will see just the front of the card).  I had this card all mapped out in my head, colored Emma, and then realized that my raindrop stickers were round :( where are rain drops round????  Oh well.  Here is just the front of the card...I put the "raindrops" on this layer so I would have plenty of room to write on the inside of the card.  I plan on sending this card to a very special friend, Lisa who's had a bit of a rough week.  If you're reading this Lisa, I love ya and I'm sending lots of hugs your way!

PMS Embellishment Challenge

 

Every week Katie at Paper Makeup Stamps gives a challenge on the PMS blog, this week it was an Embellishment challenge... use 2 different kinds of bling.  Easy as pie!!! The more bling the better, lol.  This really isn't the only PMS Fairy I have, but when I got the idea of the card I wanted to make I thought she'd be perfect!  The clip at the top is just to hold the card closed for the photo.  I used SHimmerz on the wings and lanter, bling-y brads, and glittery paper!  HEr dress is paper pieced and I colored her with Copics.

Blogger's Challenge #89, a color challenge

This week's Blogger's Challenge was to use Sage, Brown and a Neutral of our choice.  This card was more about playing around and trying some stuff.  I inked the image using my Stampin' Up! markers, coloring the leaves Soft Sage and the tree in Chocolate Chip.  Then I used a VersaMarker, Heat & Stick and some fine cosmo glitter (from SU!) to jazz up the leaves.  I was having waaaayyyyy too much fun with that Heat & Stick & glitter so I grabbed some brads from my stash, and did them up with some brown glitter...fun!  My hubby wouldn't let me glitter anything else around the house so I guessed it was time to put the card together.  Very simple layout and card, but like I said, it was more about trying some stuff out :)  Thanks for stopping by!  Hope to see you again soon!

Font of You swap card #1

First let me apologize for a bunch of posts at once, I normally try to space them out better but I am so far behind posting.  A couple of months ago I joined a new swap group.  I was so excited to be part of this very talented group.  I signed up for the next swap and then started sweating over what I'd make.  Now I always worry about whether or not my swaps will be "good enough", but I really wanted these to turn out well.  I have to say I am more than pretty happy with all four of these!  Normally 5 or 6 is my limit of making the same card before I get totally sick of it, but I had to make between 10 and 14 of these, and I had fun making them!  I hope my fellow swappers like these.  Tomorrow is Bloggers' Challenge day...  Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon.
