Up, Up and away...

I loved the color blocking on last week's Mojo sketch !  I did change up my mid panel for an oval... I really like the way this card turned out (all due to the sketch and stamp set!).  The last few days here in So Cal have been like summer so I was just dieing to play with some spring-y colors & images.  The Up, Up & Away set from Verve was perfect!  I just LOVE those hot air balloons!!  I started by airbrushing the panel with some blue, my clouds are actually stamped from the set on gray Prismatic cs and then cut out (they're all bumpily up close).  I paper pieced the balloon, but colored the basket with copics and the "ropes" with Sakura Stardust pen.  Thanks for popping by, hope to see you again soon :)

Gettin' my Mojo on!

Happy Sunday yall!  Funny how a cleaned-up craft room just gets the mojo-juices a flowin'!  Now that I can actually see all of the flat surfaces in my stamp room, I have space to create :)  I grabbed my Verve stamps, the Mojo Monday sketch and got inky!  I actually got several projects done today :)  Woo hoo!!  That's all I've got for ya for now.  Thanks for popping in, hope to see you again soon.

Stamp Group Birthday

 

 This weekend a group of friends is coming over for our monthly stamp time.  This month's theme is "Birthday's".  Not sure if you can tell but the paper pieced balloons are popped up on dimensionals.  These balloons are just as great for piecing as they are to color!!  I used Mercy's Sketch and colors are from last week's Color Throwdown.  I think I'm going to make a more girlie version and a masculine version of this and give a set to my Mom.  Sorry for the quick post but, I was up until 3 am last night working and I am exhausted!

Well a couple of weeks ago I showed you my card and a notepad I made for my stamp group, but I don't often get to show you what some of the other gals brought.

This was from Marianne's shoebox... I love these colors!  And who doesn't love Verve images.

I {heart} Mojo

 

 Happy hump Day!  Woo hoo, closer to the weekend {wink, wink}.  It's amazing how spoiled I get with all of the extra days off around the holidays and no carpool for 2 whole weeks!  Back to reality, and now that I can find some flat surfaces in my stamp room, it's time to get inky!  I am finally feeling like I'm on top of things.  So how about some Mojo, Verve style?  Teresa Kline is hostessing this week's sketch for the Mojo Monday Challenge (I LOVE Teresa's stuff!!).  I also got a new Ott light for Christmas...I LOVE it!!!! (thanks Mommy!!!!!!), so far it seems to be helping with my photos, though it does take some getting used to working under it.  Oh yeah, I almost forgot... here's the inside

Verve's World Flag Challenge

 

Wow!  Who knew using the colors from a flag could be so challenging?!?  Verve's challenge was to choose a countries flag and use it's colors.  I chose the flag from American Samoa, kind of in remembrance of what they are going through.  The sketch is one of Mercy's, of course!
