Hey yall! Just popping in really quick to show a card I made tonight. The set is called ROFL Taglines from There She Goes, and OMG! these are too cute and giggly! This set is absolutely a "must have" cause it's so perfect for a giggly card for someone :) (I nearly made the PMS card for my daughter! hehehe). I added some Fire Engine Red glitter to the "outside" of the shoes and colored the inside and heels with Copics (C7, C9, R37). I've recently discovered some card shape files at the Silhouette Online store (you can scroll down 1 post to see my Fancy Folds card). The shape was 99 cents and was just the card-base, but I was able to easily create the front panel a smidge smaller for the patterned paper. The "triple flags" are also from the Silhouette Online store. So once I cut all of these shapes out (1 mat run through the machine cut all pieces) all I needed to do was color these Sassy shoes and put the card together! I almost feel a beensy bit guilty cause it was so quick to put together! Happy Saturday :) I got this last Krop challenge card done just under the wire, lol! Karen from Kraftin Kimmie challenged everyone to make a card or project with some Fancy Folds in it, lucky for me I had recently seen some of these in the Silhouette Online store! Thanks that 99 cent cut file, I had all of the pieces for this card, easy peasy!! I did add one extra layer of matting (cause that's just how I am, lol). Alice "falling down the rabbit hole" was just perfect for this card!! The sentiment is from Wonderland Sentiments!
Lately I've been wanting to "expand" my coloring skills, lucky for me I'm 'stampy friends' and on DT's with some of my fave coloring artists!! Wendy Ramlakhan, is so incredibly sweet and has some GREAT tutorials! I've been playing around with her Coloring Skin and Coloring Hair tutes... clearly my Copics & I need to spend A LOT more time together, lol! But I LOVED how she did her hair and the skin. All in all I'm pretty happy with this card. Thanks Wendy for the awesome inspiration and tutorials, and thanks Karen for a fun challenge :)!!

Yea! I finally got some more Kraftin Kimmie cards done from last weeks Springtime Krop. Hubby went out of town on business at the last minute this past week so I kinda spent the week horsing around with the kiddo's, thus my cards are just getting done now :) Well I had planned on making 6 different cards for all 6 challenges, but since it's getting a wee bit late, lol this one will cheat a bit and serve for 2 challenges ;) For my bling on this card, I used big rhinestones in the centers of the flowers, Sakura Stardust on her wings, Tourquoise Spica Glitter pen on her eye lids and pretty red rhinestones on her outfit AND Sakura Stardust on the spikes of the Circle mat :) She's also fussy cut! I was so excited to read the other day than Jen del Muro will be bringing back her fabulous sketch challenges once her new stamp company goes live, so I went on her blog and dug up one of her sketches! This one is from February of last year, I believe. My stampy friend Danni (I'm sure you all know her as well) also hosts a challenge blog, Flutterby Wednesday's and this week's challenge is... anything goes (as long as it has a butterfly or fairy on it)!

This week's fabby hostess is the Fabulous Vicki, and I have to admit this challenge stumped me for a bit, but I REALLY LOVE the way it turned out! One of the challenges from last weekend's Springtime Krafty Krop was an inspiration photo with blues and blue/greens so I grabbed an old Couture Cardstock pack I had and chose 3 perfect colors!! I intended on grabbing a ribbon that was a bit darker still, so 4 shades total. I have 2 heart dies from Verve, and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them! The sizes were just perfection!! Hey yall! I spent part of my Saturday, while hubby was working, with the Kraftin Kimmie gals and fans at their very first Springtime Krafty Krop, Kim will do ANYthing to get Spring here! Some of the Krafty girls gave challenges and this one is for Sheri's challenge, BIRTHDAYS! My Gramma's birthday is this week so I this card is for her! My Mom & my Gramma have inspired me to be crafty for as long as I can remember. Through high school & my 20's I remember them making the most amazing creations (sewing was their thing), my Gramma also quilts and is always just a phone call away when I get stuck :) Lavendar, from Kraftin Kimmie, was perfect for this, she is retired, but she's near and dear to my heart! Of course I had to add a little stitching to this, so some gray thread holds the tag to the image :)

It is high-time for some pretty flowers!! Thinking I may just have to visit my florist friend and get some for the house :) This image is called Lazy Daisy from Just Inklined Stamps! Korin posted an awesome sketch last week on SCS, it's a simple sketch and has sooooo much possibility and I think it was just perfect for these daisies! The blue/green panel is Prismatics cs, I just LOVE the texture! These are some papers that I kinda hoard (shhh), but it's nearly time to re-stock!
I've come to really like coloring pale colors. I used some warm grays on the flowers and blue/greens for the water and silhouetting. Some Gold Sparkly Fluff was just perfect for adding some texture to the card. The sentiment is from a There She Goes set, Nutmeg and the "tab" die is from My Favorite Things.

Yay the weekend is here!! :) Well it's time for another Just Us Girls Challenge and this is my week to host!! This is kind of a "stamping for the fun of it", BUT my stampy friend Tracy Valure did a tutorial on Copic Clouds (this week's TSG Wednesday Trend) and I was DIEING to play!! AND this week Kraftin Kimmie's challenge is The Great OUTDOORS, so perfect when the "planets align" like that! So I got stampy! Now Tracy is one of those peeps whose coloring intimidates me some, so I wasn't sure I'd be able to pull it off. Well, I certainly need a little practice, BUT her tutorial was fabulous and they didn't turn out half bad ;) I am telling you these are FUN and easier than you'd think!

I LOVE flowers! I love having them in the house (fresh cut), in the garden, and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE coloring them! Welcome to the Just Inklined April Hop, this month we are Saying It With Flowers! What a wonderful theme, chosen by our awesome Hop Hostess, Karen J! You should have come here from Miss Tammy's blog if you are hoping along, if you haven't been hopping but would like to, head here to the beginning! These are Snowdrops, and aren't they just the prettiest? Besides the vibrant green and white of these flowers, they look just stunning peeking out from under a light dusting of snow!
I colored the leaves with YG25 and then added swipes of YG17 and YG67. For the flowers I added just a swipe of T1 and then went over the whole petal with 0 Colorless Blender. I added some YG03 to the flowers. I used YG67 for the grass. I've been playing with Faber Castell Pastel pencils lately and used a dark gray and dark yellow-green to add some shadows. I took a White Sharpie Paint Pen and added some "snow drops" on the flowers and then some White glitter to the ends of some of the flower petals as well as on the "ground"... a light dusting of snow :) Well that's all I have for ya for now, don't forget to leave comments on all of the stops on the hop for your chance to win! 2 random commenters will be chosen from to "secret" blogs... if your comment is chosen you win the image they used!!!
