Hey yall!  Hope you had a wonderful weekend :)  I'm the hostess for this week's challenge over on the There She Goes blog, and since I am more than ready for Spring, the Challenge is April Showers, May Flowers!  You may use flowers, water images, water coloring...anything flower or water related, get creative and then get stampy!!  I chose to use What's Up Buttercup.  I absolutely LOVE the flower sets from There She Goes! Since I spent the last few days hanging with the hubby instead of hanging in the stamp room, this card is pulling double-duty!  This week the newest JUGHead, Nancy, is challenging us with this Photo Inspiration...

Just Inklined: Dooley's Birthday

Hey yall!  It's time for my weekly Just Inklined post and today I inked up this adorable image, Dooley's Birthday from Just Inklined.  I grabbed an older sketch from Deconstructed Sketches (DS95) which was just perfect!!

I used some Pink Smooch for the frosting on his cake and colored the rest with Copics.  I LOVE the yummy colors :)  Thanks for popping by!

Your Next Stamp: Let the Peeks begin!

I am having such a great time being this month's Guest designer, but I have to tell ya I've been DIEING for peeks cause this release is sooooo stinking cute!  For today's hop the YNS DT (& me) are showing off some of this month's new release.  The sketch for my card is this week's Deconstructing Sketch and I colored Cake Pop Fhiona with Copics.  I used the colors from this month's Tasty Tuesday challenge (see photo towards the bottom of this post).

I kept the coloring fairly simple and added some texture details!  For my shading I used my Pastell-Pitt pencils (I am still LOVING my pencils, but really need to practice more).  I added some rhinestones to her dress and then some Spica Glitter pen on the sprinkles on the Cake Pop.  I'm pretty sure that Cake Pop is Birthday Cake flavored ;)

Hey yall!  This is my VERY FIRST card as a TSG Trendsetter :D  Ok this week's TSG Challenge is 'Black Matting' and is brought to us by the fabulous Vera!  You can pop on over to the TSG Blog to get all of the deets and a list of Trendsetters playing along!

I inked up NInja Skillz for this card, while a 'black belt' may be more prestigous, an Aqua Belt is certainly more fashionable ;)!!  If you've been to my blog much you may realize that white & I are NOT friends!  I really have a hard time with lots white space on my cards, so on my sentiment I took a few Copics and added some stippling, just a little to break up all of that white ;)  The layout is courtesy of this weeks Deconstructed Sketch (LOVE Jen's sketches!!).  Hope you can play along with this week's challenge and don't forget to visit the TSG Blog for more Challenge inspiration!

Kraftin Kimmie: Time to get Hoppin' & Shoppin'!

Hey yall!  Today is release day and that means it's Hoppin' day!  Today I inked up one of the images from the Spring Sweeties set and colored it with my Copics.  I used some stippling around the background, and inside the egg I colored it in green to set off the paper and then went over it with a messy Colorless Blender.  I've been using the Blender lots more in my backgrounds lately and I really LOVE it!!  Of course I colored the eggs with some Spica Glitter pens, I think glitter was my kids' favorite ways to color eggs when they were smaller :)  The layout for this card comes from this week's Deconstructed Sketches.

Kraftin Kimmie: Challenge #163.. Something Old, Something New

Welcome back for another awesome challenge here at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!! 

This week's Kraft-a-licous hostess is Sharon!! And her challenge is Something Old, Something New!! So create a card, scrapbook page or altered item using something you've had for at least a year along with something brand new to you (could be stamp, paper,anything at all)! 

This week I inked up Angie and while I WISH I looked this good in the morning, this is exactly how I've felt lately!!  I LOVED our lazy 4 day weekend last weekend and an almost as lazy 3 day weekend this weekend :)  I don't know what I'll do when the kids are back to a 5-day school week! lol  Miss Angie is colored with Copics and her robe is paper pieced.  So my old for this card are the Gray Liquid Pearls and the flowers on the bow, my NEW is the gorgeous paper (I've been drooling over it all week!).  My layout is from this weeks Deconstructed Sketch.

Just Inklined: Top Hat & JUGS172

Hey yall!  Today's card is pulling "double duty", first it uses Top Hat (available on the Best of Just Inklined 2012 CD).  I LOVE this versatile, elegant image!!  This is actually a birthday card I made for someone we know.  It's also my card for this week's Just Us Girls color Challenge... White, Gray and Lime Green!

I love the look of silver shimmer agains black :)  I used a Black Spica glitter pen along the thin edge of the brim of the hat, and then used a Sakura Stardust pen on the confetti pieces.  I really got stumped when I was getting ready to color the glass of chammpagne, I almost had to pour myself a glass just to be sure of coloring, lol!  The sketch for this card is this week's Deconstructed Sketch challenge.    Thanks for popping by, hope to see you again soon!

I LOVED Jen's Deconstructed Sketch from a couple of weeks ago and just HAD to use it again (plus there's a DT Call and who wouldn't LOVE to be on that team!!).  

This is Dress Up Ellie from Your Next Stamp.  She is just PERFECT for some sparkly fluff and LOTS of rhinestones!!  While I do LOVE to color, I also LOVE paper piecing and just couldn't resist piecing her dress.  The rest I colored with Copics.  Thanks for popping by, hope you have a great week!!

Kraftin Kimmie: January Krafty Hop...

Sooooooo, have you totally fallen in love with this month's release??  If you can't decide which ones to order, trust me... you NEED them all, honestly, you do ;)  This is Lucas and he is from the Love is the Best Medicine set.  Don't ya just wanna give him a hug and an ice cream cone?  Well, Mr Lucas is colored with Copics and I tried a little something new, I used some Pastel Pencils to add some shading!  Thanks to Kim O'Connell and her amazing coloring for inspiring me to try this (click here to see Tobi Crawfords tutorial on using these for shading).  I did cheat a little and instead of using black, I used a dark blue, deep red and a couple of grays, and black :).  I just LOVE the way he looks!  Thanks Kim & Tobi :)

Kraftin Kimmie: Day 4 Nerds & Geeks

Meet Lab Geek!  Isn't she fabulous? and just as perfect as can be?!?  These nerds and geeks may be my absolute FAVE!!  Today is also challenge day on the kraftin Kimmie blog, this week's challenge... ANYTHING GOES!!!!

I just LOVE coloring these images... totally chillaxin'!!  The layout for this card was an older Deconstructed Sketch, and of course I just had to add some Liquid Pearl and Multi-liner dots :)

Kraftin Kimmie: Peek Day 2, Sweet Dreams

Welcome back to our JANUARY Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks!!! Today we are excited to share TWO ADORABLE new sets by artist Cheryl Alger!!! You'll recognize these characters from previous sets.....Lulu, Lexi and Lucas! And they are just as cute as can be!!! These new sets are.......SWEET DREAMS and LOVE IS THE BEST MEDICINE!!

I am using Lucas from the Sweet Dreams set... tell me he is not just precious!!! 

I used a bajillion Copics and just LOVE the way he turned out!!  I used a Copic Multi-liner to "outline" the Green cs pieces and a Black Paper Pen on the White oval.  Both ribbons are from Ribbon Carousel, and the sketch for my card is this weeks Deconstructed Sketch.

Just Inklined: Letter to Santa

Happy Friday!  Today I'm playing with the Letter to Santa image from Just Inklined stamps!  There is a boy and a girl version of this stamp, I chose the girlie :)  

Of course I had to add some shimmer to this, I used some Sugar Coating glitter all over the snow and then "speckled" in the sky... LOVE!  I think using glitter is my favorite part of making Christmas  cards, lol!  The sketch is this week's Deconstructed Sketch!

Pretty Christmas Poinsettia's

Happy Black Friday!!  Guess what I'm doing today... STAYING AWAY FROM THE STORES! lol  I am all full of turkey and stuffing and soooo ready to hang with the hubby & my kiddos... some serious "chill time".  This image, Christmas Poinsettia, by Just Inklined is just perfect for Christmas cards!  I LOVE the detail in this!!
