Paper Makeup Stamps is sponsoring the current challenge at Copic Creations, which is Monochrome.  One lucky winner will get $35 to spend at Paper Makeup Stamps, but tomorrow at midnight is the deadline.  You can go to this post for all of the deets and some tutorials on Monochromatic coloring.  I LOVE black & white photo's, they just seem so elegant and classic to me.  So when I was trying to decide on which image to use and what color to go with, I thought of Lucy and immediately thought of black & white and LOTS of pearls (again with the pearls, lol).  This is not my first Monochrome card, but it IS my first time coloring Monochrome.  Very fun and VERY easy!  I think a set of cards using different colors would be fun!  I wanted to stay true to the challenge, but if I were making a set or something I would likely add a hint of pale color somewhere on here.  I used the sketch from Taylored Expressions. Final Friday Challenge for Paper Garden Projects...

 

Happy Friday, woot-woot!  I am looking forward to a weekend of downtime and stamping! This month's Final Friday Challenge from Paper Garden is to use Bright Blue, Brown and Yellow-Green.  When I first read this I thought there is no way! But then I pulled the colors out and it all just came together!  I am loving how Ian and his surfboard came out!!  I used last week's sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You.  I am just loving the way this little dude turned out!  And I am especially impressed with myself that there is NO Patterned Paper on this card!  Who knew that was possible, lol.  On the green panel I used the Summer Note Block and stamped it in black. Paper Garden Projects is sponsoring the current challenge over at Copic Creations!  The challenge... flowers.  This was a fun challenge and Copic gals have some great tutorial links for ya, just in case.  Up for grabs is a $25 gift cert to Paper Garden!!!  Woo hoo!  Around my flowers, I wanted to do some sponging... but of course I didn't have any sponges, my air can for my Airbrush is empty, as is my air tank (hubby fills it from his compressor, though he wasn't home).  I went digging through my drawers and found some stippling brushes... that worked fabulously!  I used some Antique Linen Distress Ink (thanks Katie!)...wowzers, I LOVE that stuff!!
