Butterflies throwin' it down!

Check me out doin' another Color Challenge! I think I have enarly gotten over my "fear" of color challenges!  Today the My Time team is sharing some of their favs from the past year.  I LOVE this "Year in Review" idea... it is a fabulous way to play with some older things!!  Today I am using the Flutters and Flowers cut file, I sometimes forget about the cut-files because I get so wrapped up in the templates and stamps.

For my card I used the the Color Throwdown challenge, this card by my dear friend Kristin inspired me.  I loved her idea of her "elements" on a basically white card, white cards are VERY hard for me but I was thinking, "Hmmmm, butterflies in a framed window!"  I really love the look.  My tag at the bottom uses one of the uber-cute sentiments from the All a Flutter stamp set.  One of the great things about getting the cut-files in an .svg format is the ability to size them.  I adjusted the sizes of my butterflies to fit my window and then again to fit my label... Easy peasy!

For my giftie package, I used the Pinch Me template, added more Flutterbys, ribbons and a button...done!  I love this little set, and I especially love how quick it can be!!  Today is a group post so be sure to visit the rest of my My Time friends to see what their favs from the past year are.

Throwin' Down another MTME Pretty Pattern Sketch!

My Dog ate my homework!  Seriously, 'Happily Huck' decided he needed my card for this weeks MTME Pretty Patterns Sketch as a snack.  I wish he would have come to that conclusion AFTER I photo'd it, of course that would have worked out way too well, lol!  So here is my second attempt at this awesome sketch (this week's sketch was created by Lauren!).  I really struggle with Color Challenges so my goal has been to try to participate in more of them and this week my friend Kristin over at The Color Throwdown picked some rockin' colors so I just had to play along :)

I am so stinkin excited for this release!  This Color It set awesome!  I used the Fern image to make a background for my sentiment piece.  I was planning on stamping some of the ferns and coloring them with Watercolor Crayons and then cutting them out, but I kinda ran out of room.  I will likely add them to the inside.  The Most Beautiful Things word art is new also... soo pretty!  Now grab your latte and get hoppin'!  Your next stop is the Rockin' Boss Lady herself, Miss Katie.  And the very first letter in your clue is the letter

Stamp Group Birthday

 

 This weekend a group of friends is coming over for our monthly stamp time.  This month's theme is "Birthday's".  Not sure if you can tell but the paper pieced balloons are popped up on dimensionals.  These balloons are just as great for piecing as they are to color!!  I used Mercy's Sketch and colors are from last week's Color Throwdown.  I think I'm going to make a more girlie version and a masculine version of this and give a set to my Mom.  Sorry for the quick post but, I was up until 3 am last night working and I am exhausted!
