MFT PI June Calendar

Here is the May page for Mom's calendar.  I think this one may be my favorite!!  I used last weeks MFT WSC sketch and the colors are from the Ribbon Carousels inspiration challenge.  Have you visited the Ribbon Carousel store?  Of course you have, I'm always the last one to find out about awesome places!!  lol.  They have AMAZING ribbons, like the striped green ribbon I used here, LOVE that ribbon!!!  They tons of other fun goodies too, so you really need to pop over and check them out.  Be sure to visit my Calendar creatin' friends (see below).

April PI Calendar & MFTWSC65

So, I worked my tail off on Monday... got all of "house chores" done so I could play all day on Tuesday.  Wouldn't ya know it I was so stinking sick Tuesday, I only got out of bed and showered so I could go to my son's Lacrosse game! lol  That'll teach me to clean house!!  Ok, back to fun stuff :)  I know I am posting this a little early, but when Isaw this week's MFTWSC, it was just perfect for my calendar layout!  PLUS I just got my new goodies from MFT so I just HAD to play :)  This April page is for the calendar I have been making for my Mommy... hope she likes it!  

I just love coloring these PI girls, but I also LOVE paper piecing them :)  So for this one I did both :)  Isn't she just sweet?!  Well thanks for popping by, sorry for the quick post but it's time to pick up the kidlets.

March Calendar

Well I am finally getting my March calendar posted, I can't believe how incredibly late I am, lol!  My calendar stand is from Taylored Expressions, check out their Calendar Products section.

Last year I got this A la Mode set, Wishing You Luck, from My Favorite Things, but never had a chance to use it... Another February Calendar page

Well I already showed off the February page I made for my Mom's calendar, so here is MY February page.  Last week's Mojo sketch was my inspiration.  A couple of week's ago I found an SEI Club kit from last year and I just LOVEd the Heart paper in it!  There are actually 2 that I just love!  One of my favorite 'lovey" sentiments is "I just love you", I heard in a movie (can't even remember which one) years ago and it stuck with me.  The sentiment I used is from Paper Makeup Stamps.  Anyway, I just stamped it on a tag and then embellished the heck out of this page... I think I really like it :)  Of course my calendar hangs on my stand from Taylored Expressions, the stand my son stained for me :)  Are you playing Taylors Calendar challenge?  Clink on the button on my right hand sidebar to get all the deets!

Happy February, Yall!

First of all, let me start off by saying that my stamp room is sooooooo messy I am getting claustrophobic and I totally cannot function!!!  With that being said, the whole time I was working on this calendar I could hear my mom saying "clean your room, young lady!"  A handful of weeks ago MFT showed off a calendar by Barbara Anders using the Pure Innocence calendar girls... talk about being inspired!!!  As soon as I saw it I knew my Mom's desk at work needed one of these calendars :D  It also worked out quite well that MFT sent their newsletter recipients a little giftie around Christmas time, it was this handy dandy calendar (came in large and small size, this is the small).  I was trying to find a calendar frame/holder that wasn't too bulky looking, knnowing my Mom she has so many cutesies on her desk at work there wouldn't be tons of room for a calendar stand, lol.  

I saw this picture easle at Target and it was perfect!!  I had to make this calendar a little bigger than the calendar pages I've been making for myself so it fit the easle better.  I'll have my February Calendar page to share with you on Friday :) 

I paper pieced her little dress, and colored the rest of her with Copics.  I re-stamped the flowers, colored them and then cut them out and popped them up on the original image.

January Calendar

Happy New Year!!!!  I am ready and excited to accomplish some goals and move on to some new things in my life :)  We are still making our Calendars, and soon I'll be making 2 sets (awaiting supplies for the 2nd, can't wait to make that one!!!).  I'll share details on the 2nd set soon.  This is my calendar for January, I got the stand from Taylored Expressions and my son stained it Black for me.  It looks perfect in my studio!  It doesn't look like Taylor still carries the calendars I used form last year so I downloaded this one from Cat on SCS.  I thought making a snow scene would be fun, ya know since we have NONE here in Sunny So Cal (thought lately it has been feeling cold enough to snow.... yes I know, we are pansies here!).  The snowmen are from Paper Makeup Stamps, Snow Happy set.  The large snowflakes are UBER glittery and fun!  I got these a while ago from Fabric Barn (the awesome ribbon place in So Cal).  Check out my Calendar buddies and see what they've done for January and if you'd like to play along with us each month, email me and I'll add ya to our list :) (there is an "email me" button on my sidebar).  Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon :)

November Calendar Page

Finally, I get to post my November Calendar page :)  I know November should be a Thanksgiving theme, and trust me I LOVE Turkey Day, but November is also my Birthday month and in honor of my stamp room getting a "face lift" I decided to make my November page more in line with my Stamp Room.  My room is in Black, Baja Breeze and Antique Linen.  When I was working on my calendar page I grabbed some Baja Breeze cs, I held it up to my painted wall and started laughing that my walls match PERFECTLY!  Guess I love the color :)  One of my favorite quotes is the Mark Twain quote above and Paper Makeup Stamps has it in digi and rubber... LOVE IT!  Oh and check out this chandelier...

Isn't it gorgeous?  It's a "brush" and I found it at Scrap Girls. As soon as I saw this chandelier the whole page just came together in my head :)  Don't ya just love when that happens?  I used some Lemon Yellow Liquid Pearls and a paint brush to create the candle "flames" and then added plenty of rhinestones.  I am thinking I need this in my room :)  I wanted some patterned paper, but I really wanted it to resemble something in my room, then I remembered that My Time Made Easy has some amazing Houndstooth prints and wouldn't ya know it that she had it in my exact color :)  Both the calendar print and the frame are from Taylored Expressions!

The June edition of my Calendar

I know it's a few days late, but here is my June calendar page!  Why a movie theme you ask?  In my household we LOVE watching movies together and with school out we have some of our funnest "movie dates"!  It is very hard for me to sit for 2 hours and not accomplish any of my many chores/tasks for the day, but something about snuggling with my kiddo's keeps me firmly planted right next to them  until the very last credit rolls bby!  Some of my favorite childhood movies was going to the drive-in with my family; we'd put on our feetie pajamas, get the HUGE bag of popcorn, grab our blankets and pillows and our sneakers (Mom said we had to wear our sneakers to play in the playground at the movie place).  I so wish there were still drive-in theaters!  

The tickets above the calendar are actually a stamp image from the set.  I used Gimp to add the "Family Time" and movie projectors on to the tickets, then just printed it out on some Spring Rain cs.  You can't see it too well, but on the black cs below the ribbon it says "here's lookin' at you kid".  The random stars were just punched out of some sparkly black paper I had.  Oh yes, and I must mention that my stand... it was stained by my youngest son, thanks doodle-bug!

May Flowers Calendar Page

A couple of days ago I had the perfect idea for my May Calendar page, then I started working on my MTME Group Post cards and I had another brilliant idea, but I decided I needed to get my cards done first.  Being the forgetful sort, as I am, I forgot my 2nd brilliant idea and was totally stumped as to what to do.  Luckily as I started working everything just fell in to place and I have to say, I really LOVE my 2nd calendar page!  The flowers and bees are from the NEW! Bee-Loved set from MTME and that paper is from the NEW! Buzz-y Blooms digi paper pack.  I started with the layout I used for a Kraftin Kimmie card (which was my 1st inspiration).

April Showers Calendar page

My dear friend Monique Hansen made the most beautiful calendar page last month (she was inspired by Christine Dol), anyway Monique asked me to play along this month and I was beyond excited.  So here is my first take on makeing my own calendar :).  I love "April Showers", so I used that as my inspiration and away I went!  I also took advantage of the Wednesday Stamp Challenge Sketch from MFT.  I am loving my fabulous calendar!!!
