Blogger's Challenge #140 & a gift...

 

 My office manager's birthday was yesterday, and I knew right away what I was going to make her.  That MFT image is soooo her!  She LOVES shopping and she has a cute little dog, and she LOVES purses!

 

I absolutely LOVE this purse!  I filled it with Hershey's Kisses and the gift card we got her from the office.  The incredibly talented Mel (Mel Stampz) is the brain behind this purse, you can see her samples and get the template here.  I'll be back in a bit with the list of goodies I used.  Have a great weekend, hope to see you again soon!

 

VERY late Blogger's Challenge & Taylors Dragonfly card drive

 

 
 Well this is a very late Blogger's Challenge, but I think that I am finally getting close to getting caught up after being sick.  Last week's challenge was a sketch (thanks Lisa!!).  As soon as I saw the sketch I knew it'd be great to use with this Dragonfly for the Taylored Expressions Dragonfly card drive.  You can read about the purpose for the stamp set and the card drive on Taylor's blog.  This is such a gorgeous set!!  I'll have to pop back in a little later to add the ingredients cause it is WAY past my bedtime.  Thanks for popping in, hope to see you again soon!  Don't forget to check out the card drive.

Did you see these cute little "Bucket Handbags" on SCS?  They happen to be last week's Technique Lovers Challenge and the template is from Mel, and being the doll that she is she is sharing it with the world for FREE! Well when I saw these I knew they'd be perfect for a little teacher Valentine gift.  This weeks Bloggers Challenge is "Valentines" and this week's Makeup 4 the Weekend challenge was to make a goodie bag or basket.  Make sure you hop on over to the PMS blog and link up your goodie to Mr. Linky... Katie is giving away a free goodie bag to one lucky participant every week during February.

Paper Makeup Customer Blog Hop & Blogger's Challenge

First and foremost... HAPPY FRIDAY!! 

 

This card is pulling "triple duty" today... Today's Makeup For the Weekend Challenge is to use Olive, Mustard and Navy, this is also one of the stops on the PMS Customer Blog Hop (a hop Katie has decided to do so everyone can participate, these "customer" hops will be on the 20th of each month), and last but certainly NOT least this is my Blogger's Challenge card (Lisa's challenge for us this week is "Giving Thanks").  The yellow background paper is Prism's Gold Ore Iridescent cs (a shiny, rich, iridescent gold), you can see it a little better here.    Sorry for the lousy pictures, I had a hard time photographing the shimmer paper and the shimmer'd leaves.  Some of the leaves are colored in just Golden Wheat Shimmerz, some are first colored with my YR23 Copic and then gone over with the Golden Wheat Shimmerz, and the rest of the leaves I colored with an Orange Spica Glitter pen.  Hope you are enjoying the Blog Hop, your next stop is Christine Reeves.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Friday!!  This has been such a week!  Two solid days of work events and a household of sick boys!  And yes! they are all boys... when they are sick I don't care how old they are, they are BOYS!  lol.  Back to the fun stuff... A really late Blogger's Challenge... Alter It!

 

Last week's Blogger's Challenge was to "Alter It", I came across this little basket (template and instructions are on Mary Jo's Blog) and thought it'd make a cute little Christmas basket!  Well, I like the way it turned out and I will likely make some more at Christmas time, but Holy Snickerdoodles!!  I could NOT get myself motivated to get it done!!  It really isn't that time intensive I just couldn't get it together.  Unforutnately, I couldn't find anything "Christmas-y" to put into it (besides this tinsel), luckily I just got some great buttons from Gina K and they fit just perfectly!!  This would be fun with a fall theme and add some big leaves in it and then fill it with nuts (you know the kind you get that require the nut cracker?)  So many possibilities!  Hope you had a wonderful weekend!  Thanks so much for stopping by.

When life gives you lemons... go stamp!!!

Wow, it's been long handful of days since I posted last!  But, when life "happens" it sure happens!!  I can't get in to details right now, but  when I finally got home today Hubby kept trying to get me to take a nap and I couldn't get into my stamp room fast enough!!  This card took me HOURS (I kid you not!!), but in the end I didn't even care... stamping is the best therapy (2nd to praying of course, yup I've done alot of that this weekend too!!).  Back to the happy stuff!!!  This weeks Bloggers' challenge was a product showcase, use Designer Paper.  I know this is totally late but when I decided I was going to stamp something today, I decided to make it for my mom.  I picked this beautiful stamp set from Gina K, and just knew I'd have to use this dsp!!  I think when I saw this paper is when I first fell in love with Crate Paper.  For the image I used a technique called "thumping" just to give it a little texture.  That super fun button is from PTI and it had one bigger hole in the middle, so I tied my ribbon in a knot and threaded it through.  Thanks so much for popping in... hope you come back soon, Thursday kicks off sneak peeks for PMS' October Release!!!  Have a great week, hope to see you tomorrow!

Thinking of you Blogger's Challenge

 

This week's Blogger's Challenge was a "Thinking of You" challenge.  This card is going to a girlfriend of mine who recently lost her job.  The set is called 'Everyday Button Bits' by Papertrey Ink, and of course you have to get there adorable buttons!  I am a button fanatic, I go CRAZY over antique and neat buttons!!  I have jars of buttons from my Great Gramma, my Gramma and hubby's Gramma!!!  These buttons, though, are from PTI.  I airbrushed a little grass and a little sky, I really wanted the buttons to POP, so I kept the airbrushing to a minimum.  Hope you have a great weekend!! Friday Freebie wordart and Blogger's Challenge

Every Friday is Blogger's Challenge AND the Friday Freebie wordart over at Paper Makeup Stamps.  So this week's BC was to use punches or dies... this applies to just about every card I make!  I love punches and dies of all kinds, they make it so much easier to get that something that's a little different!  On this card for instance, there are so many square angles that I wouldn't have wanted the sentiment to be another square or rectangle, and a circle wouldn't have been quite right but this Nestabilities Label Four die is perfect!  Make sure you head over to the PMS store or blog to get this free wordart!  I also used SC242 from SCS.  Tomorrow is the PMS Monday challenge... make sure you peek back, it's a fun one!!
