MTME Pretty Patterns Sketch #47

Happy Thursday!  It's time for another MTME Pretty Patterns sketch.  This week I used the Bee-Loved set along with some paper from the Buzz-y Blooms pack (LOVE this paper!!).  I always love coloring this set because there are so many fun ways to color it.  

I used Sakura Stardust pen on the bee's wings, black Spica glittern pen on his body, and some uber fun Cinnamon Stickles on the center of the flower (convenient that I just found these stickles in a box this past weekend).  Sorry for the quick post, but be sure to head over to this post on the MTME Blog for all the sketch-y deets and to see what the Sketch team has done with this weeks sketch :)  Thanks so much for stopping by!!

It's a PMS hop & SALE!

Another February Calendar page

Well I already showed off the February page I made for my Mom's calendar, so here is MY February page.  Last week's Mojo sketch was my inspiration.  A couple of week's ago I found an SEI Club kit from last year and I just LOVEd the Heart paper in it!  There are actually 2 that I just love!  One of my favorite 'lovey" sentiments is "I just love you", I heard in a movie (can't even remember which one) years ago and it stuck with me.  The sentiment I used is from Paper Makeup Stamps.  Anyway, I just stamped it on a tag and then embellished the heck out of this page... I think I really like it :)  Of course my calendar hangs on my stand from Taylored Expressions, the stand my son stained for me :)  Are you playing Taylors Calendar challenge?  Clink on the button on my right hand sidebar to get all the deets!

My Time, A Year in Review Group Post... In LOVE

Today the My Time Made Easy DT are showing off some NEW things with some OLDer goodies!  I used the Insert Card Here template, but left the "insert" out so I could fill it with some Kisses. Yummmm!

For the box I used one of my favorite paper packs, Coffee Beans.  I am in love with all of the prints in that pack and these flowers are just too fun!  If you look at the first picture in the post you can see that my tag is "popped up".  For the tag I used the Timed Write digi set.  Using Gimp I placed and colored each piece and layered it the way I wanted it, then I added the yellow paper from Coffee Beans as a layer and voila... tag done!

Today I am pairing up my project with this week's MTME Pretty Pattern Sketch Challenge, go to this post here for sketch challenge deets.

For my project I used the Pull Up Tabs Square template and filled it with Herchey's kisses :)  I used the Gray Screw paper from the Wind my Manly Gears pack.  The papers are perfect for my little giftie, because....

as soon as I saw this sentiment in the Wound Setiments set. I KNEW this package was gonna be for my hubby, lol!  I'll hide the whole package in his suitcase the next time he travels.  Please visit Lauren & Lisa... I promise they'll have some awesome eye candy for ya!!

Today the My Time Made Easy team is showing off it's newest template, Pull Up Tabs.  This template comes in both octagon and square.

There is a decorative topper piece, but I chose to use a scalloped circle instead... it fit perfectly!  The octagon is the perfect size for a 3" ish candle or some mini chocolates... yumm!!!  I added some decorative paper, from the Wind My Girlie Gears paper pack.

This is likely the busiest card I've ever made, lol!  I started with last weeks SCS Sketch and used more of the same Wind My Girlie Gears paper.  The birdie is from the BRAND NEW Wind 'em Up! stamp set, and the sentiment is from the Wound Sentiments set, also NEW!  I covered the "screws" on the bird with rhinestones and went over the beak, legs and "key" with black and silver Spica glitter pens... very sparkly

Happy February, Yall!

First of all, let me start off by saying that my stamp room is sooooooo messy I am getting claustrophobic and I totally cannot function!!!  With that being said, the whole time I was working on this calendar I could hear my mom saying "clean your room, young lady!"  A handful of weeks ago MFT showed off a calendar by Barbara Anders using the Pure Innocence calendar girls... talk about being inspired!!!  As soon as I saw it I knew my Mom's desk at work needed one of these calendars :D  It also worked out quite well that MFT sent their newsletter recipients a little giftie around Christmas time, it was this handy dandy calendar (came in large and small size, this is the small).  I was trying to find a calendar frame/holder that wasn't too bulky looking, knnowing my Mom she has so many cutesies on her desk at work there wouldn't be tons of room for a calendar stand, lol.  

I saw this picture easle at Target and it was perfect!!  I had to make this calendar a little bigger than the calendar pages I've been making for myself so it fit the easle better.  I'll have my February Calendar page to share with you on Friday :) 

I paper pieced her little dress, and colored the rest of her with Copics.  I re-stamped the flowers, colored them and then cut them out and popped them up on the original image.

Stamps: Pure Innocence - Primrose (MFT Stamps)  

Under the weather?

Two weeks in a row I've been able to play MFT's WSC!!  I am on a roll :)  I loved this week's sketch, and soon as I decided which set I was using I just knew I'd do the inside of this card too!  The image and sentiment on the front are from the Bunny Slippers set.  I wish I had the Scallop Doily dienamic, but I had to make do with a Nestie.  I used a Sakura Stardust pen for the steam... I don't know why I think steam should be glittery, but it should be! 

I love decorating the inside, but don't do it often enough.  Anyway, I ended up doing the inside of this card first, lol.

Of course I had to paper piece her robe, but I also added some white sparkly fluff to her collar and cuffs... so snuggly!  I colored the slippers with Copics, but they looked to plain so I used a Souffle pen to add some polka dots.  I think I need a pretty pink polka dot robe!!  Well that's it for tonight, thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have a wonderful week!!

Up, Up and away...

I loved the color blocking on last week's Mojo sketch !  I did change up my mid panel for an oval... I really like the way this card turned out (all due to the sketch and stamp set!).  The last few days here in So Cal have been like summer so I was just dieing to play with some spring-y colors & images.  The Up, Up & Away set from Verve was perfect!  I just LOVE those hot air balloons!!  I started by airbrushing the panel with some blue, my clouds are actually stamped from the set on gray Prismatic cs and then cut out (they're all bumpily up close).  I paper pieced the balloon, but colored the basket with copics and the "ropes" with Sakura Stardust pen.  Thanks for popping by, hope to see you again soon :)

MTME Pretty Patterns Sketch #45

It's Thursday and it's time to get sketchy with the MTME Pretty Patterns Sketch team!  You can head over to the MTME Blog to get the deets on the sketch and see some inspiration from the Team.  I know, can you believe I didn't use digi paper?  I'm out of ink :( lol  I got out my VERY dusty distresser (that poor thing hasn't seen daylight in YEARS! lol).  The paper, Honey Cake by MME, is just perfect for this look!  I love it.

The image is from Tending the Garden, by My Time Made Easy (comes in Acrylic or digi). To add some dimension to the image, I used some Rouge Liquid Pearls on some random dots, and then a little Baby Blue Liquid Pearls in the center of the flower.  Thanks for popping in, can't wait to see what you create with this sketch!!

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club... Thinking of YOU

Sometimes a girl's just gotta color!  And what better to color than a Pure Innocence cuttie?  I have a couple of friends that are going through a bit of tough time lately, and this image is just perfect for one of them!  This card has a little of everything but the kitchen sink... I pieced her dress, used a white Souffle pen on the vase, and baby rhinestones "here, there and everywhere" :)  The fabulous sketch?  Swiped from last week's MFT WSC... LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!

Mojo-licious Monograms

Yesterday I spent a wonderful and heart-warming day with my family (extended)!  This isn't something I get to do often, and it was just a wonderful, wonderful afternoon!  Now today, the house is all cleaned up and I got some time to play today, just for the sake of playing.  I decided to start of with some "Mojo Inspiration" and some Jenni Bowlin paper that I absolutely LOVE!!! I got my card all together and it just really needed something else, and I am really trying to "step-up" my papercrafting creations these days.  I was stumped... so I went looking for some inspiration and I found it in this card by Jackie Pedro.  I love the button and twine!!  Thanks Jackie!!  Well here's my card for last week's Mojo challenge, thanks for stopping by :)

MTME Pretty Patterns Sketch #44, a birthday/anniversary Calendar

Happy Thursday!  Woo hoo, I just love these short weeks... it's already almost Friday!  Having the kiddo's home for one extra day always makes me happy :)  I used today's MTME Pretty Patterns Sketch for the cover of my Birthday/Anniversary calendar.  All 3 papers are from the Amethyst Sparkle digi pack.  One of my favorite things about digital paper is that I can print out as much as I want, since I plan on selling some of these calendars at a craft show I don't have to worry about planning out the papers (ya know making sure I don't run out of one).  The focal piece uses one of the frames from Killer Curves stamp set, and the slice of cake is from our brand new stamp set, Sweet Treats.  I used my copics to color the cake, but man if I found a recipe that would make that cake... Twine & fiber storage idea & I {heart} Pinterest!

First let me start off by saying that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE pinterest!  I wish I could claim that I was the brain-child behind this brilliant idea, but I saw it on Pinterest!  HeatherJs blog to be specific, and she used it for embroidery floss.  I don't really use embroidery floss, but what a great way to store my Baker's Twine!!!!  Before this, all of my twine was a knotted mess :(  Now it's pretty and the best part is that the "mouth" of the clothes-pin holds the end of the twine!  I LOVE it!  and this took WAY less time than my ribbon storage (of course I have TONS of ribbon).  You can see my ribbon storage here.  I have to say that since that ribbon post my ribbon collection has grown to 1 color per drawer :)

I have found tons of awesome idea's on Pinterest... made several recipes, tried several crafty ideas and even applied some household organization ideas to m yown life...
